Better together: Orita announces additions to advisory team

Late last year, Orita launched a limited beta of our self-serve data confidence platform built specifically for DTC brands. Like Stripe for clean data, our self-serve solution alerts brands to problems with their data integrity and provides the cleaned, verified and unified data to solve the problem.

With their newly unified customer data as a single source of truth, DTC brands like Amour Vert, Caire Beauty, and Shameless Pets have been able to accurately identify the characteristics and habits of high value customers. With this information comes more effective strategic decisions, resulting in higher LTV, retention and growth.

But that’s not all. Because our technology is DTC-specific, we can also identify the cause of any data anomalies. We’ve helped clients catch double-counted revenue, bot activity that drives up abandoned cart rates, high numbers of duplicates, missing contacts in their marketing platform and unknown drop-shippers.

To get to the point…we wouldn’t have been able to make any of this happen without the wisdom and guidance of our trusted advisors. These extra members of your team are the best of the best. Some have been around since the beginning, and some joined the team in the final months of 2022. Without further ado, we will take a minute to introduce the newest team members to you now.

Adam Miller is a performance marketing guru, skilled in driving adoption of new e-commerce products. He’s long believed that teaching is the “ultimate calling,” and we’re thankful to be sitting under his leadership when it comes to go-to-market and marketing strategy. His day job has him leading driver and courier marketing strategy at Uber, and he’s well-known for his time spent growing the user base of Turo and Postmates.

Curt Hasselschwert is a software developer, engineer and strategist of more than twenty years. Most recently, co-founding and building the post-purchase survey platform Fairing (formerly Enquire Labs) as CTO. A champion of using zero-party data to give consumers what they want, Curt’s guidance over the technology behind Orita is sure to help DTC brands make more effective decisions.

Manish Sinha was most recently the corporate CTO of L’Oreal, where (among many other things) he was responsible for bringing the brand “direct to consumer.” His extensive experience across all parts of the IT function - from privacy and security to data management to user experience - positions him perfectly to advise Orita on everything under the hood.

Nadya Kohl was most recently CMO at Volta Charging, a data science-driven EV charging and media network.  Her experience building and scaling innovative business models in consumer analytics - with industry leading companies such as PlaceIQ and Experian Marketing Services - makes her uniquely suited to advise Orita on bringing the most effective data-centric product to market. Currently using her experience to advise data industry startups, Nadya advises us on customer-focused solutions across multiple verticals.

As we look back through this list, we are full of gratitude for the exceptional leaders who believe in our product and have jumped on board in the last few months to impart their hard-earned lessons for Orita’s future. And we would be remiss if we didn’t also mention the advisors who have been around the block with us. Adam Paulisick, Matt Bahr, T.J. Connolly and Will McGivern-Smith have helped us get to where we are today: the only Data Confidence Platform helping major DTC brands make more effective decisions with better data. We look forward to bringing you more clean data innovation in the year ahead.

Looking forward to a great 2023,

Daniel Brady and Zack Gow, Orita founders
